A Rags to Riches Story
By Chris Cade on Mar 19, 2010 in Random Stuff

You might as well call March “Success Month” since I’ve shared so many resources with you about success.
And I know that sometimes it may almost impossible to relate to people with great success. After all, most of us are not experiencing those kinds of massive achievements, and there’s often a little voice in us that says “Yeah. But he’s always been successful as long as I can remember. He doesn’t have to live a hard life like me. He doesn’t know my troubles.”
Well today, I have a story for you that may shed light on what people REALLY do to succeed. For most people, it doesn’t come naturally nor easily, and the most successful people I know ALL have stories like this…
Imagine you’re in 9th grade, and you just can’t make life work. Teachers, school administrators… they know you’re not worth their effort, so they kick you out of school.
Then imagine that feeling like you have no options, you decide to take a low-paying job. Success is NOT in your lifetime, so you figure you’ll make the best you can of a bad situation. At least you’ll be able to put food on the table, right?
Yeah. Right. Then things get worse… much worse, and you’re almost ready to give up on life. No education, no income, and no heart anymore… it’s been torn out of you.
Then one day, something strange happens and you receive an unlikely gift: your first personal development book. Not just any book, it’s the infamous “Think and Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill.
So you read it, and something even stranger happens – by applying what you learn in the book, your income goes from $4,000 per year to over a million… and it happens faster than you could have ever imagined.

If that story sounds even a little familiar, either because you’ve already heart it, or because you or somebody you know is living it, then just know that is exactly the life story of Bob Proctor (from “The Secret”). Over the last 50 years, Bob has helped people to make ridiculous amounts of money while enhancing the lives of themselves and others at the same time.
Bob recently made a video that lets you get inside his head and he shares exactly what he did to make these amazing changes in his life, regardless of how terrible his life was at the time.

When you sign up, you’ll also get access to a couple of more videos. In one of them Bob is asked a question and I just LOVED his answer:
“Bob, you’ve been doing this for fifty years. Do you ever get tired of it?”“No, I love what I do. In fact, I hardly ever get tired at all. People get tired of doing something when they’re doing something they don’t want to do.”
I think that answer is really telling in some very DEEP ways. It has an unspoken implication: We can get paid well for doing what we love, AND our health and vitality both increase as a byproduct of following our passions.
Every day I feel blessed to have made the difficult and scary transition from the corporate world to be of service to you, and Bob’s message hits home for me in very personal ways. We all have the opportunity to life the life of our dreams, even when starting from nothing. If Bob was able to do it, I believe you can too and it all starts with taking small steps, one at a time. In fact, if you devote just a FEW minutes each day to personal development and/or building your business, wild success can become a reality for you (if that’s what you want).
I didn’t just magically leave my job, I spent years working a full-time job, then spending time with my family afterwards, and after they went to sleep I built my business part-time. So while success doesn’t happen overnight for most people, I will attest that it can happen if you commit to taking consistent forward action towards living the life of your dreams.
